1940's weekend

Just spent a lovely week in Norfolk coinciding with the 1940's weekend on The Poppy Line steam railway stations of Holt, Weybourne and Sheringham. This is a great annual event that sees hundreds of enthusiasts dress up and re-enact wartime Britain.

BUT THERE'S ALWAYS TIME FOR TEA!

A visit to Coton Manor

Coton Manor, in Northamptonshire, is a fantastic garden I like visiting across the seasons. The bluebell wood in flower will be the next great event to see there. They also have an interesting variety of birdlife in the gardens. I enjoyed photographing the flamingoes.

Norfolk

Looking forward to a week in  north Norfolk this month. At least the pressure will be off to get a good poppy picture - having tried in vain earlier this summer.

Hopefully there will be some late sun and golden light. I also want to make more use of my filters, including the Lee Big Stopper I received as a leaving present from work.

New work

A new picture of one of my favourite subjects - cats!
